I believe the same principles that help us create a beautiful garden, a welcoming home, meaningful relationships, and a fulfilling life are the principles that help us heal—intentional care, patience, hope, and consistent effort.

Welcome In — I’m Tammie

Welcome. I'm so glad you're here.

Whether you've come looking for hope after a difficult season, support through counseling, or information about my book, Wake Up To Your Life, I hope you leave this space encouraged.

I believe people are capable of remarkable healing. Our past influences us, but it does not have to define us. With understanding, intentional choices, and the right support, we can move from simply surviving to truly overcoming.

A Little About Me

Long before I became a therapist, I was the child who needed one.

That journey eventually led me to spend more than thirty-five years helping children, adults, and families heal from trauma, childhood adversity, and difficult life experiences. I have worked as a Child Welfare Social Worker, Child Welfare Therapist, Supervisor, Associate Director, and Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My work has always centered on helping people discover that their past does not have to determine their future.

In addition to my MSW and LCSW credentials, I earned the Professional Certification in Trauma & Resilience: Level Two from Florida State University. My greatest hope is that every person I meet leaves feeling a little more hopeful than when they arrived.

Beyond My Work

When I'm not working with clients or writing, you'll usually find me creating something that brings beauty, comfort, or connection.

I love transforming my yard through landscaping, decorating my home to feel warm, welcoming, and cozy, and searching antique shops for pieces with history and character. One of my favorite ways to bring people together is by creating charcuterie boards for family and friends. I'm also an avid reader because I believe we should never stop learning or growing.

Supporting family members' and friends' small businesses is something that brings me great joy, and whether through my work, my writing, or everyday conversations, I hope to encourage people to believe in themselves and recognize that healing and growth are always possible.
